Experience the rugged beauty of Southwestern Oregon. Enjoy the natural wonders such as the Oregon Caves located in Illinois Valley or Hellgate Canyon in the Rogue Valley. Stroll along the beautiful lakes such as Applegate Lake. Take a raft trip or jetboat ride on the famous Rogue River or perhaps skiing on Mt. Ashland is more to your liking.

Known for it's beauty, the Applegate Valley consists of several small communities, the first town being Murphy. The town of Murphy is located just off Williams Highway about five miles to the south of Grants Pass, where Murphy Creek meets the Applegate River. Nearby is the Applegate Lake. The forested slopes and often snow covered peaks of the Siskiyou Mountains are reflected in the clear blue waters of Applegate Lake in the Rogue River National Forest. In this scenic setting the U.S. Forest Service operates hike-in campgrounds and lakeshore areas for picnicking, swimming and boating. The lake extends to the California border and a hiking trail follows the 18 mile shoreline.

 
Grants Pass is located in southern Oregon about 60 miles north of the California border in Southern Oregon. It is a town filled with beauty, history and scenic attractions. Downtown Grants Pass recently earned the distinction of a National Historic District because of its historic buildings and homes.

 
Ashland is located 15 miles north of the California border on Interstate 5 at the south end of the Rogue Valley, sitting at about 2,000 feet above sea level. Mt. Ashland looms above the city to the South, 7,500 feet high, and the Cascade Range lies about 30 miles to the east. Ashland offers qualities of life that many towns only dream about. Snow-capped mountain peaks, a major theater company joined by other smaller theaters, art galleries, museums and fine restaurants offer a truly picturesque setting. Ashland is a unique place, offering a ski resort in the winter, and three other distinctive seasons. With its warm summers and mild climate, Ashland is an excellent place to garden.

The climate is so good, in fact, that Ashland had an active agricultural industry around the turn of the century. The Rogue Valley is still known as "pear country," and you can see trees from the old orchards around town. The climate is also conducive to growing grapes, and Ashland has two local wineries. Ashland has an active and varied theatrical community. Home to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Ashland also boasts nine other theater groups, which perform a wide variety of productions, including musicals, comedies, and experimental theater, all year long.

 
Jacksonville is a historical town located about seven miles west of Medford and fifteen miles north of Ashland Oregon. Jacksonville is one of the most historically significant communities in the western United States. Filled with historical landmarks this town offers visitors to share in the experience of a bygone era.
Home to several Historical sites such as the Jacksonville Museum (formerly the old courthouse.) Visitors can come see exhibits and collections of yesteryears. More than 80 individual buildings are on the National Register or Historic Places.
